About Congers, NY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Congers is an affluent hamlet located in the town of Clarkstown in Rockland County. It is situated about 19 miles north of the Bronx boundary in New York City. About 8,400 people call this suburban community home, and it was originally settled by English, German, and Dutch settlers in the late 17th century. The community was previously known for being a tough working-class area of Clarkston, but it is now blossoming, and its tree-lined streets merge the identity of blending old and new.

There are several notable attractions located in the Congers area, the most popular of which is Rockland Lake State Park. This park features a swimming pool, boat launch, hiking trails, and tennis courts. Fishing is popular here, as the lake is full of bass and perch, and joggers and bikers often enjoy the paved 3.2 mile trail that circles the lake. Rockland Lake also features two 18-hole golf courses – the Executive and Championship courses.

In addition to the outdoor recreational opportunities in the area, there are other places of interest that visitors and residents alike might enjoy. Congers features a variety of unique restaurants, including The Station Kitchen & Bar, Saffron Indian Cuisine, and Sangria’s Mexican Restaurant. The Congers Historical Museum and Rockland Lake Museum can teach visitors more about the history of the area, and specialty shops include Bourghol Brothers Jewelers, Rockland Florist, and the Fabric Lady.

Congers residents should prepare for any and all weather conditions with both home heating and cooling systems to use at various times of the year. Summers in the community are warm to hot with high humidity, and average daily highs reach the mid-80s.  To beat the heat, residents will need to invest in an air conditioning system, but use of these appliances will be short-lived. During the fall months, most residents will begin to turn on their home heating systems, and with heavy snowfall and temperatures below freezing, it is crucial that they have access to a reliable furnace or heat pump.
