About Garnerville, NY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Garnerville, New York is a small hamlet found within the Town of Haverstraw Rockland County. It is located just north of New City near the communities of Mounty Ivy, Stony Point, and West Haverstraw. This community was previously known as Calicotown, and its current name comes from the Garner family that operated a textile printing industry in the community in the mid-1800s. Historical markers in the community include Calico Hill and Garner Works.

Despite being a small community, there are a few notable businesses located in this community. The Garnerville Arts & Industrial Center is a non-profit art center that offers unique exhibition and performance spaces, and specialty shops include Lavina’s Bridal & Formals, Mandee’s, and Garnerville Wine. The newly-renovated King’s Daughters Public Library is also found in Garnerville, and there are also a couple of popular restaurants found in the community, including Beni’s Trattoria and Caesar’s Grill.

Residents of Garnerville will experience four seasons throughout the year with distinct weather patterns, and temperatures tend to be cooler than nearby New York City. Winters in the area tend to be cold and snowy, with the region receiving several feet of snow each year. Average daily highs may only reach the lower-30s, so conditions can become dangerous even indoors without the right climate controls. An investment in a new furnace can ensure that home interiors stay comfortable throughout the season.

During the summer, highs tend to reach the mid-80s during the day, but the high humidity that is typical for the area can make it feel even hotter. Air conditioning is essential to stay comfortable throughout this time of the year, and it is recommended that residents take advantage of the milder spring months to have their systems serviced. This could also help to keep utility costs affordable throughout the summer.
