About Pomona, NY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Pomona, New York is a small community that is well known for its many apple orchards. It is situated in the towns of Haverstraw and Ramapo in Rockland County, and it is located by other small communities of New Hempstead, Monsey, and Mount Ivy. This village was incorporated in 1967, and approximately 3,100 people currently call it home. Situated at the foot of the Ramapo Mountains, many of the residents of Pomona moved to the community from more densely populated regions in order to raise their families in a quiet, single-family setting, although development is starting to push towards the community’s borders.

Pomona is primarily a residential community, so there are few major attractions found within its limits. Palisades Credit Union Park – which was known as Provident Bank Park until April 2016 – is located here, as is the Pomona Cultural Center. The Orchards of Concklin is a popular farm stand with fresh produce and baked goods, and Cumberland Farms also offers fresh fruits and vegetables. There are also a variety of unique restaurants in the village that offer something for everyone, including Basilico Gourmet Pizzeria & Restaurant, Gilligan’s Clam Bar & Grill, and Saaz Restaurant.

Homeowners in Pomona need to consider their climate controls seriously, as the community experiences variable weather patterns during the year. To prepare, residents need to invest in an energy-efficient and reliable furnace system. These systems will keep indoor conditions warm when temperatures plummet in the winter, and with temperatures in the 20s or 30s, these appliances are essential to stay safe.

The autumn and spring months do provide some relief from the temperature extremes, but summers are usually hot and humid. Average highs reach the mid-80s during July and August, and the region is also prone to muggy air streams. When these conditions move into the area, the right air conditioning unit will make this time of the year more bearable.
